Planning
The ‘Planning’ tasks renders a business plan with a very simple and new approach that becomes possible by big data management tools. Planning becomes much more accurate as it is now possible to plan each transaction in detail and not only plan aggregated numbers. This is not only very convenient for later comparison of plan to actuals, but also very convenient as it allows to render P&L, Cash-Flow and Balance Sheet by one click, as every transaction is actually included in the planning process.
The Planning tasks revolutionalizes the speed of business planning and allows to plan with more accuracy and significant less time. It is recommended to use the Planning task with the ZIPPYDOC for Excel AddIn and use Excel to render the Assumption table.
Example of how to render a planning assumption table:
In an initial step a assumption table is rendered where every transaction is explicitely planned as it occurs in the business. As an example we want to plan an employee. Lets assume, the employee has a monthly Salary of 3.250 EUR with an annual increase of 3%, gets a regular bonus of 10% at year end and a one-off extra bonus of 5.000 in 2022. This translates to the follwoing assumption table:
Position | Sub Position | Amount | Initial Date | Final Date | Repetition | Growth | Growth Period | Growth Curve | Payment Days |
Personnel Costs | Fix Salary | 3.250 | 01.01.2022 | Monthly | 0,03 | Yearly | Jump-Fix | 3
Personnel Costs | Regular Bonus | 3.900 | 20.12.2022 | Yearly | 0,03 | Yearly | Jump-Fix | 3
Personnel Costs | Extra Bonus | 5.000 | 20.12.2022 | 3
Personnel Costs | Social Security | 682,5 | 01.01.2022 | Monthly | 0,03 | Yearly | Jump-Fix | 10 |
After running the planning task, all transactions of the upper table are listed in a transaction list. This transaction list can now be summarized by a Pivot-Table tool and allows to view the plan in every detail, as the plan includes each single transaction.
