What is the \u2018Record ID\u2019 task?<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The \u2018Record ID\u2019 task can be used to add a column with serial numbers to a data table. On applying the \u2018Record ID\u2019 task, the output table will include a new data column, which will have serial numbers for all entries.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n How to use the \u2018Record ID\u2019 task?<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The important fields in the \u2018Record ID\u2019 task are<\/p>\n Use this dropdown menu to select the table in which you would like to add the serial numbers.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Use this field to type in the name of the column in the output table that will house the serial numbers.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Use this field to type in the starting value of the serial numbers. The first entry in the data table will receive this as the serial number.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Use this dropdown menu to select if the new column with the serial numbers should be the first or the last column in the output table.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n How to use the \u2018Define Output Table\u2019 and the \u2018Output Options\u2019 sections in the \u2018Record ID\u2019 task?<\/strong><\/p>\n The \u2018Output Options\u2019 section in the \u2018Record ID\u2019 task can be used to modify features of the output table.
